Excellent location within walking distance of both the Suehirocho station and Akihabara station. These two stations cover most train routes to popular tourist destinations in Tokyo. While the rooms are small, they are designed decently well, with space under the bed to put 2 large luggage plus carryon/bags. There were power outlets on both sides of the bed with one side having USB ports and controls for the lights and air conditioning. The washroom is small but has all you need including a tap that says it provides drinkable water. The shower head top mount might be a bit low for tall people though. The television includes a basic selection of VODs free of charge. It also shows the status of the washer/dryer. For breakfast, it was reasonably priced according to the quality, selection and convenience. We only tried it once since there are a lot of food options in the area such as the Excelsior Caffé next door. The rear entrance was also useful for exploring some of the side street shops, vending machines, and the closer FamilyMart next door, and the Lawsons down the street. On the 2nd floor there's a vending machine and a microwave. Checkout was pretty straightforward with the machine that accepts your room card. Staff are also present around checkout time to help. You can also leave your bags at the front desk for a few hours if checkout is too early, it's free of charge but you need to book it online ahead of time. There was usually one front desk staff that could speak good english, but not all can, so be patient and make use of translate apps or google translate.

The location was completed in 2024 so the facilities were very clean and had many neat features. I like how everything has very clear English instructions and TV allows easy connection from my phone. Location is also unbeatable. 4 min from the nearest subway station and also connects to Ueno for easy access to Narita Airport. Staff was super helpful with my request to receive packages I had sent and also sent my luggage to the airport. The bed also has plenty of underside space to put my luggage which helps make the small room feel bigger. The bedside console has control of all the lights in the room which are brightly lit and the AC is responsive and fast acting. It's not too hot now in May but it shouldn't be a problem during the summer months.

The location and price for this location is great. Also, the he beds are elevated. This is very helpful, as your luggage can be stored under your bed. I'll be staying there again soon. I only happened to stop and write this review, because I was on my way to reserve this hotel again. One additional note, there is a policy that house keeping will come once every 3 days, however for me one of those days happened to land on New Years Day. I was able to talk with the front desk and they had no issue delaying the cleaning, as I had plans to be out late on New Years. So, just be aware that this is an option for anyone else who has house keeping land on an unfortunate day.

APA hotels are ubiquitous in Japan. This one is right in the middle of the Electric Town quarter of noisy Akihabara among the electrical shops and the maid cafes. The maids are everywhere -- if you find them offensive, don't stay here. They won't hassle you. Very handy for the Ginza line as well as the Yamanote circle line which stops at Akihabara station. Loads of places to eat, and a big pachinko/slots palace right across the road. Rooms small but modern, service helpful, comfortable beds. For an interesting angle on Japanese history, the thoughts of the founder and chairman of APA hotels are provided in a magazine rack in every room.

The location was perfect right in the heart of Akihabara. There was so much to do and restaurants in the area. The rooms were so clean with thoughtful amenities, like slippers, yukatans, and everything we could need for toiletries. The best was how comfortable the beds and pillows were. They gave us rooms on the 12th floor at the back of the building and it was pretty quiet considering our location on a busy road! Wonderful that they were able to accommodate our request to have our rooms right beside each other, since we could not get a family room and had to split up.
